uper Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has given special thanks to God and his Leicester City fans for the support and encouragement which culminated in his winning the Leicester Young Player of the Season award, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Ndidi's award was confirmed Monday night by the club's website and the player who is expected to hit the Super Eagles camp for the international friendlies against Corsica and Togo in France took to his Twitter handle to express his appreciation at his recognition by the club he joined only in January.
"Special thanks to God and also to everyone that made this possible. So much for all. #ItcanonlybeGod #LCFCAwards," Ndidi tweeted on Tuesday.
Ndidi will be hoping to get his 16th Premier League appearance on Thursday in their home game at the King Power Stadium against Tottenham Hotspur.
Leicester are 11th in the table with 43 points.
Ndidi has scored twice so far this season and has constantly stated that he will remain at the club despite transfer interest in his services.
