Four Lions against one water Buffalo, what are the chances? A basic direct fight you might think yet this Buffalo had different thoughts, it wasn't going down without a battle. It took the Lions all of an hour and a half to cut it down and even at that, the feisty Buffalo left its blemish on one Lion.

Mr Ravenhill, who was around 20 meters away for the whole assault, said:
'There was a battle going ahead between the cape bison bull and a pride
of lions and we could see them jumping upon it. All of a sudden we
could see that a youthful male had figured out how to get snared by the
wild ox's horn underneath his left front leg. He wound up stuck there
for a decent 20 minutes.
'After that time, he figured out how to get unfastened, however was
limping for quite a long time subsequently we took note. By far, it was
the longest fight we have ever seen in the middle of lions and a wild ox
- it was difficult to watch, however that is the truth of nature.'
