Ed Sheeran took home the award for Artist of the Year, the first time male and female artists went head-to-head in a category.

P!nk took home the prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Mother of Charlottesville victim Heather Heyer was also on hand to announce a foundation againts hate opened in her daughter’s name. All 6 nominees for Best Fight Against the System were also name winners.

Nicki Minaj, Wizkid set the Internet on fire with new photos

International Rapper, Nicki Minaj has shared a photo on her Instagram page, chilling with Nigeria’s Starboy, Wizkid.
This of course shows, the starboy is indeed worldwide, and is in no competition with anyone. Wizkid also shared the photo, but then he disable comments on his page.
This is coming after Nicki celebrated Wizkid many weeks ago, where she proved that she is indeed a fan of Nigerian music.
Recall on the 2nd of July, Wizkid performed at his sold-out concert in Washington, D.C., which saw thousands of his fans filling out the venue, all of them chanting his songs with him.
“Thank u DC! That was emotional!! Brussels I’m on the way…wireless see u after that,” said Wizkid on his Instagram, and one of the fans who liked and commented on the post was No Frauds rapper, Nicki Minaj.
This is not the first time Nicki Minaj will be supporting Nigerian stars on social media. In May, the Queens rapper gave Skales the global attention he deserves by promoting his song on her Instagram.

South Yorkshire Police posted Twitter photos of the smoking, wrecked car, saying it “went airborne (and) burst into flames” beside a highway in northern England.
The Ferrari 430 Scuderia, worth about $260,000 new, ended up a burning heap in a field.
The police said in a Facebook statement that the driver “only had minor cuts and bruises” after Thursday’s smash, but they also detected “a sense of damaged pride.”
The force said the driver, not identified, told officers: “I’ve only just got it, picked it up an hour ago.”
Police urged local drivers to take care on the roads.

Meet the new world richest man taking over from bill gates

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has overtaken Bill Gates and is now the richest person in the world, with a fortune topping $90 billion for the first time ever.
When markets opened on Thursday, Bezos had a net worth of $90.6 billion, putting him $500 million ahead of Microsoft founder Bill Gates. Amazon stock opened up 1.6% on Thursday, adding $1.4 billion to Bezos’ net worth. That was enough to put him ahead of Gates, who was last surpassed on Forbes’ real-time rankings for just two days nearly a year ago by Spanish retail giant Amancio Ortega.
Forbes started tracking billionaires around the globe in 1987. Bezos is now the seventh person to hold the title of the world’s richest person and the third American to top the global ranks besides Gates and Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett.
While Gates and Buffett both appeared on Forbes’ first ranking of America’s 400 Richest people in 1982, Bezos is a newer addition to Forbes’ wealth rankings. He first appeared on the Forbes 400 in 1998, a year after Amazon went public, with a $1.6 billion fortune. Bezos ranked third richest in the world on Forbes 2017 list of the World's Billionaires, published in March, with a fortune of $72.8 billion.
Bezos would be nowhere close to being the world’s wealthiest person had Gates not given so much of his fortune to philanthropy. Gates, who created the Giving Pledge with Buffett to encourage billionaires to give at least half of their wealth to charitable causes, had given away $32.9 billion over the course of his lifetime through end of 2016. The undertaker is without a shadow of a doubt one of the most respected backstage talents in the history of the company. Taker (real name Mark Calaway) made his professional wrestling debut back in 1984. He signed with World Championship Wrestling (WCW) back in 1989 but would sign with WWE just one year later. Originally, he made his debut under the name Kane The Undertaker on an episode of WWE Superstars in 1990. He finally made his TV debut at the Survivor Series pay-per-view (PPV) later that month as The Undertaker. From then on out, The Undertaker would slowly evolve as one of the greatest entities WWE has ever seen. He amassed a tremendous undefeated streak at WrestleMania that lasted over several decades and reigned as the promotion's world champion on multiple occasions as well. He was part of various tremendous feuds against the likes of Shawn Michaels, Mankind, Randy Orton, Edge, Kane, Batista, and plenty more. Not only did he captivate the WWE world with his 'Deadman' gimmick, but he also got extremely over with his 'American Badass' gimmick - a biker character that showed more of what Calaway was like outside the ring. Throughout his near-30 year career in WWE Taker has had the opportunity to work with a number of people backstage, including referees, announcers, interviewers, etc. Sean Mooney, a former TV announcer and interviewer, was one of those people. He recently did an interview with Total Wrestling Magazine to talk about his time in the business, and revealed what "The Deadman" was like behind the curtain (quotes via Wrestling Inc.): "You can always tell how good not just a performer is but how they conduct themselves with how long they last in the WWE. Mark [Calaway] coming in was very gracious to have that opportunity. He was this tremendous athlete, you could tell. "The way he conducted himself through the years, same along the lines of John Cena, I've never heard a bad word about Mark. I've never heard a bad word about Cena from all the people that work with him. That just shows, for them to last in that company, you have to have all of that. "It's not just being a great performer, you also have to respect the people and conduct yourself in a certain way. I think when he first came in he was a very young man at the time. He'd done a lot of work before but not at that level. "It took him a while to really get a hold of that character, but once he did there was no stopping him. I think it still remains as one of the greatest gimmicks ever. I remember the reaction that he would get when he would come into the arena. "When the lights went out you could hear the gasp because people knew what was coming. If you were thinking about a character where you're going to call him The Undertaker, you'd think he was going to be this dastardly heel. "Look how that turned out, he's beloved by fans. The rapper whose real name is Shawn Carter is updating the way he stylizes his famed moniker by adding a hyphen and spelling it out in all capital letters. The name change, which his rep confirmed to the Daily News, will be used on his recently announced and highly anticipated new album, “4:44,” which comes out on his streaming service Tidal on June 30. The hip-hop mogul’s spokesperson didn’t have a comment for why JAY-Z decided to make the name change, but it’s not the first time he’s altered his title. He originally went by Jay-Z (lower case letters with a hyphen) before ditching the hyphen after he came out with his most recent album to date, “Magna Carta Holy Grail,” in 2013.
